Unfortunately, when they call us for an estimate, it is often due to the poor installation and failure of their current gutter system from a prior contractor who is either out of business or will not service their warranty. It is important to hire a quality gutter company from the start to ensure your project is completed to perfection and you are not left with a home that is crumbling from wood rot.
What Other Contractors Do Wrong
Shall we start with a common phrase that we hear often in our industry, “Gutters Are Just Gutters” and “How Complicated Can It Be?”
Well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words but in our industry a picture is worth thousands of dollars!
Here are some common issues that we solve for our clients:
The Short Shingle Issue
This customer could not view nor was made aware by the contractor of what we call the “Short Shingle Issue.” The contractor may have not been experienced enough to be aware of this or did not want to increase his price, in order to be hired for the job. The end result is the fascia surrounding the entire home is now rotted from water running behind the gutter due to the contractor not adding “flashing.”
This damage is very costly and now the homeowner is going to pay again for the gutter and now for the rotted fascia replacement. From here, the true extent of damage can not be measured until the fascia is removed and the sub-fascia, including the soffit can be examined.
Problems with Pitch and Slope
This customer chose an inexperienced gutter installation company with a very costly outcome. The pitch and slope of the gutter when it was installed caused water to flow over the top of the gutter and into the fascia and sub-fascia which resulted in extensive carpentry repair/replacement.
At Rain-Go Exteriors, we are acutely aware that “Gutters Are Not Just Gutters” as we listen and work with homeowners on a daily basis who unfortunately hired the wrong gutter company for the their home. We do not want you to make the same mistake and end up in our used gutter pile!
Be Aware of these Contractor Issues
A dishonest contractor will tell you that he is going to replace rotten areas and install the gutter system at a cheap price. To keep costs low, he paints over the rotten areas and fastens the gutters into areas that have less rot, hoping the homeowners won’t notice. The damage from this contractor is very costly as the rot continues into the roof/rafters and siding of the home as the gutters are not draining the water away from the exterior of the home.
Gutter installers who aren’t educated in correct pitch and slope needed for a job. Ask any engineer and he will tell you it is crucial to have the gutters pitched/sloped in a manner to drain the water away from the exterior of your home to prevent erosion of your home’s foundation.
Roofing contractors and gutter contractors that are oblivious to the need of shingles extending past the edge of the roof and how to solve the problem. This problem is solved by adding “flashing.” This metal is installed under both courses of shingles and extends into the gutter to prevent water from running behind your gutters.

Frequently Asked Gutter Questions
Our seamless gutters are one piece gutters manufactured at your home. They are custom fit to your home. They are far superior than sectional gutters bought at your local home improvement stores. Our seamless gutters do not have in-line seams, which always fail, causing leaks. Our seamless gutters are made of a non-corrosive aluminum or copper and will last for many years.
Our seamless gutters are hung and supported by two key components. The first component is the hanger. For our seamless systems we use the RaytecTM floating hidden hanger that is recognized as the strongest gutter bracket on the market! It has been tested to withstand 297 pounds of pull pressure each! Don’t be fooled by the others who claim they have the strongest. Research it for yourself. This hanger is snapped into our seamless gutter and is used to support the weight of the gutter and the flowing water. The second component is the fastener. While a lot of companies use nails to hang their gutters (and claim this is the strongest), Rain-Go Exteriors uses only stainless steel inch and one half hex head screws to attach the gutters suspension system to your home! A screw is stronger than any nail, any day, and Rain-Go’s screws will not rust!
Absolutely! We use only the best materials. We want this to be the last gutter system you will need. Premium aluminum and copper coil stock is used for the gutters and only the strongest hardware is used to hang the gutters

Customer Reviews for our Gutter Installation Services
“Rain-Go installed gutters and down spouts on my newly constructed home. We called Rain-Go a few months back, and Tim came out and gave us a quote. We got a 2nd quote from a well known national hardware retailer that shall remain nameless. The 2nd quote was a few hundred dollars more, and used materials of lesser quality. To make things even better for Rain-Go, the 2nd quote came with a 1 year warranty on parts and labor, while Rain-Go offers a 10 year warranty on workmanship and a 20 year warranty on materials.
Why do they even bother?
Anyway, the written quote then found a nice comfy spot on a shelf and stayed there awhile. When we called Rain-Go again a few months later, Susan didn’t mind that the original quote was only good for 30 days, she said they would be more than happy to honor it nonetheless. So then after a few rain delays and scheduling conflicts, we were able to get things done.
On the morning of the installation day, I saw a truck pulling an enclosed trailer behind it, emblazoned with “Rain-Go” on the sides, and two men came to the door. Our installers were Steve and Jeremy, and once proper introductions were in place, they went right to work. The two of them worked in tandem, in an impressively efficient manner. If they ever took a break, you’d have hardly known it. They did a very good job, the quality of their work was evident in not just the finished product, but was also displayed in the way they did the work.
I will recommend this company to anyone needing gutter installation or servicing.”
